PERINATAL · ANXIETY · LIFE TRANSITIONS
Holding it together isn't the same as being okay.
New parenthood, anxiety that won't quit, a crossroads you didn't see coming. Whatever you're carrying, you don't have to white-knuckle it alone.

HOW I CAN HELP
Where people get stuck, and how I can help.
A place to start when you just feel off and aren't sure where you fit.
Perinatal Therapy
For fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum, perinatal loss or trauma, and the transition into parenthood. Support for the emotional shifts that can come before, during, and after becoming a parent.
Anxiety, Panic, & OCD
For racing thoughts, panic that feels physical, intrusive thoughts, OCD, and anxiety that takes up more space than you want it to. We’ll work on understanding what’s happening and building practical ways to respond differently.
Life Transitions, Grief & Loss
For when life changes and you’re left feeling stuck, uncertain, or not quite like yourself. This can include relationships, changing roles, identity shifts, grief and loss, and figuring out what comes next.
Individual Therapy
Don’t see yourself neatly in one of those? That’s okay. Individual therapy can also support depression, stress, relationship concerns, and the things that are simply hard to put into one category.
THE PART NOBODY SAYS OUT LOUD
You know the drill. Keep it together, push through, be grateful because look how good you have it. Everyone else seems to be managing, so surely you should be too.
And maybe you are managing, on paper. The job gets done, the people in your life are taken care of, the calendar's full. But your brain won't shut off at night, or you feel weirdly alone in something that's supposed to be joyful, or you can't remember the last time a decision felt clear instead of like a trap.
Here's what nobody says out loud: looking fine and feeling fine are two completely different sports. Being the one who holds everyone else up doesn't mean you've got nothing to put down.
You don't have to wait until things fall apart to deserve support.
Coping on the outside, quietly unraveling on the inside.
Looking fine and feeling fine are two completely different sports. Being the one who holds everyone else up doesn't mean you've got nothing to put down.
A WAY FORWARD
I help people across Illinois work through the moments that ask the most of them: the road to parenthood, anxiety and panic, and the big transitions that leave you feeling stuck or unsure of who you're becoming.
My style is warm and honest. I’ll hold real space for what you’re carrying, and I’ll also gently call out the patterns keeping you stuck, because that’s where the change actually lives. Expect real tools, warmth and compassion, and a fair amount of humor.
The goal isn't to keep you in therapy forever. It's to help you leave with more clarity, more self-compassion, and the confidence to trust your own footing again.
Therapy that starts with you, not a script.
THIS MIGHT BE YOU
This might be you if...
You just had a baby and don't feel like yourself, and you're quietly terrified to admit it.
You've had panic attacks so physical you wondered if it was your heart.
You’re trying to conceive or navigating pregnancy feels harder than you expected, and the uncertainty, anxiety, or grief is taking up more space than you thought it would.
You're anxious all the time and can't turn your brain off, even when everything's technically fine.
You're at a crossroads and every decision feels impossible.
You're the strong one for everyone else and you're running on empty.
If any of that landed a little too close to home, you're in the right place.
ABOUT ME
Hi, I’m Talia
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Certified Perinatal Mental Health specialist (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International, offering virtual therapy across Illinois. I’m trained in a range of evidence-based approaches, including CBT, ACT, DBT, and ERP, while also drawing from relational, attachment, and systems-based work. I shape therapy around you rather than forcing you into one model.
What that means for you: someone who knows this terrain, brings genuine warmth to it, and uses practical tools when they’re helpful without making therapy feel formulaic.
A few things people ask.
-
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Chicago, offering virtual therapy to clients located anywhere in Illinois. You can work with me from home or any private space in the state.
-
I specialize in three main areas: perinatal mental health (the emotional experience of parenthood before, during, and after pregnancy); anxiety, panic, and OCD; and life transitions. Many clients are navigating more than one of these at the same time.
-
Yes. I accept BCBS PPO insurance, and I also work with self-pay clients who prefer the added flexibility and privacy of paying out of pocket.
-
I work with individuals, both men and women. I don't currently offer couples therapy.
-
Reach out through the contact option on any page to book a consultation. Not sure which area fits? We'll figure that out together on a first call.
READY WHEN YOU ARE
You don't have to have it all figured out to reach out.
Most people who reach out aren't sure exactly what they need yet. They just know something feels off, or harder than it should, or lonelier than they expected. That's not a reason to wait. That's the reason to start.
